Parting words of wisdom for people going through major depression?

You didn’t do anything wrong to be the way you are now. In fact, you may be playing an extremely important role in humanity’s attempt to explore the frontiers of the brain. You’re certainly playing an important role in the lives of all those around you. They, too, have the opportunity to learn about themselves and to grow by living through it with you. More simply, I’ll leave you with the “depressive’s mantra” that someone gave my friend Ken many years ago and he passed on to me: “It will pass. Be kind to yourself. Ask for help.”

I like that sentiment. My husband says that to me every time I get depressed.

I hate being Bipolar - it's awesome!

"Parting words"? Are you going somewhere?

I'd rather have a frontal lobotomy than a bottle in front of me.
