Wow, I never thought at this point in my career that I'd be in jeapordy of losing my job. I have never shared my illness with my employer and i'd like to hear some of your thoughts on that.
I have a boss who is a total TOOL and I hate to say it, but I allow him to get under my skin! It takes everything in me not to open my mouth and tell him exactly what an asshole he is!!!
I am an intelligent, organized, multi-tasking employee yet I feel because of inconsistent moods, I am seen as being difficult to work with.
How do you all deal with work and BPD? thanks for listening :-)

I really feel for you. I had to leave my job because of my illness. Supervisors can be a real problem and I never knew for sure if it was me or them because of the illness. Based on my experience, I would not share illness with employer and I would consider talking to a lawyer because employee rights vary so much from state to state. I am thinking you want to keep your job with this advice. Remember, how you feel about your job matters too.

Much also depends on how important "working and playing well with others" is for your job. Are you really hard to work with or is your state of mind making you feel like you are even if in reality you are fine at work? Is there a fellow employee you could ask without going into a lot of detail about your private health issues?

Best of luck.

Hey, thanks for your reply.
I really like my job and i do it well.
I am a Social Worker, yet my boss knows nothing about SW or Case Management.
Every employee here would say that I am a team player and not difficult to work with. It really is just my boss, and that really sucks!
