I'm trying to lose weight that I've gained on my meds. I've long suspected that my meds have slowed my metabolism, and now I believe I've got proof. I've been logging the food that I eat every day for months. I eat 1200 to 1300 calories per day. (This includes the "night eating" that I do during semi-sleep, for those of you who've seen my other discussion thread. I know because I always put the wrappers on my night stand, and I know the next day exactly how much I ate during the night.)

1200 calories is the minimum that most diets say "do not go below" or else it's unhealthy. I should be losing weight at this level, and yet, I've not lost any weight at all for the past three months. I've gotten my thyroid checked, and it's normal. I eat a balanced diet, and I get moderate exercise. Nutrition calculators say that I need 1650 calories each day to maintain my weight, given my height, age, and activity level. I'm eating 350 to 450 calories below that, every single day, and yet my weight stays the same. Grrrrr! I'd say this is proof of a slowed metabolism, would you? If not, what else could be going on?
