I am doing it again. I just keep putting food in my mouth. I baked a cake and kept walking back to it, I couldn't pass it and leave it alone, just kept at it until there was nothing left. And then all of a sudden my pants are all too tight. And I look in the mirror and see fat legs fat stomach and I am finally married . I always kept my shape especially because I love exercise, but now when it counts how I look especially because I want to share myself with another; I am fat ugly and screwed up. My mom has no self control in the drinking area, with me its sugar. Now I have to start all over again. Does anyone else go through this, is it a part of the bp, I have heard it said to pay attention to changes in diet. Polishing off pints of icecream and drinking coolata's having cake for my birthday and not just one piece. Re buying the cake cause someone else likes it and asks for it. My husband craving cheese cake and strawberries and me being the one to get hurt by it because I lose control. How do I help this problem>

like anything else, overeating is almost always an issue of self harm. you're attracted to the immediate gratification (almost like a drug addict) but not happy with the long term effects.

I have BPD and find that I'm very black/white in my thinking surrounding food as well, so I try to practice moderation religiously. I know that eating 100% raw vegan, for me, is just as bad as eating 100% junk from vending machines. Balance, for me, is the answer because I don't get sick with myself for eating horrible food, but I also don't starve myself for what I truly want either.

I also find exercise first thing in the morning to be VERY helpful. I'm less likely to eat junk when I'm energized and health conscious from exercising.

Lastly, keep a journal and try to pin down your emotional eating triggers. Find realistic healthy solutions to these triggers, write them down, and choose from the list when you're feeling particularly bad - it's a great reminder and tool

good luck!

Overweight is a common problem, but you can control it through some basic actions. First of all pay attention to your diet plan, what you eat and how you eat? Eating habit affects on your health. Try to avoid eating fast foods and fizzy drinks. Have good exercise plan for maintaining body weight.
