My name is mike. Ive started running about two weeks for about 2-4 miles depending on how i feel that morning. I wake up at 5am and then i head out for a run. I usually sprint two miles and jog or walk the other two. Im 18 and ive never really been very active and in high school i smoked for four years. Im shipping out for the air force July 28th so the fact that i want to get in shape go hand in hand with joining the military and having a healthy lifestyle. I quit smoking over 4 months ago. And now i am running at least 5 days a week. I don't know ive i can attribute my well being currently to my diet, sleep, or exercise. But i definitely know it cant be hurting. Im sure it will bring down my blood pressure as well as build muscle and enhance the well being of the rest of my body. What exercise have you done that makes you feel better?
Sincerely,
Mike

I've found that taking a 50 minute walk in the early morning is the best anti-depressant for me.

(Psalm 94:19) . . .When my disquieting thoughts became many inside of me, Your own consolations began to fondle my soul.

Hey Kef. That's great that your walks make you feel better. Morning is the best cause there's nobody around, its silent and peaceful, and i don't know there is a feeling of calmness that comes with that distinct smell and cool breeze. I just read some of your posts and you said you have a hard time exercising after you've broken your routine. I definitely have the same problem. I feel great once im on a routine but something always comes up and ruins it. Then i have the hardest freaking time getting back on the routine. Maybe multiple routines work? Once something fails turn to another routine and cycle two or three routines. Or once something starts to hurt, like your back, turn to swimming. I was running for two weeks and then my hip started hurting whenever i put pressure on it which SUCKED cause it always seems like once something works something has to ruin it you know?
