Alright I barely sleep, I'm a 0 to 3 hour a night gal, I've been dealing with insomnia for more than 15 years. Can't afford to see a psychiatrist right now to get a prescription, eating right, exercising, taking vitamins, blah blah blah. Tried over the counter sleep aids, and tylenol pms and crap like that, either doesn't work, or makes me soooo tired and unable to keep my eyes open, but unable to sleep. Taking depakote for bipolar, that hasn't helped, I am seriously going to FREAK OUT if I don't get a night of nice, long, uninterrupted sleep. I mean it, I'm going to lose it. If anyone has any suggestions on things that may work I am all ears. Please, help its 2:30 am and I'm afraid to even try to sleep at this point. Help!

Hi marcieb~ Try Valerian, which is a natural sleep aid. It smells awful but worked well for me. I too have insomnia and go the RX route, but before I was insured used Valerian for two years. I wish you luck, I know how awful lack of sleep is and how it can make you feel crazy.

Im sure you have tried otc melatonin? Also, Chamomille Herb tea works. I just add some mint or other herb tea and a tsp of sugar. I sooo understand the sleep deprivation.
