I know this is going to sound strange but here goes. I've been having a bad time of it, I'm having surgery Wednesday on my right wrist, hand & thumb. My 49th birthday is Oct. 19, I am trying to figure out how to celebrate my birthday? I was gonna try to go to the Charlotte Nascar Race, but that is way too much walking for me. I will have to go by myself, as usual, but I really want to go somewhere and try to have some fun. Keep in mind that I get scared very easy, now I have panic attacks too, with everything else. I haven't been to too many places, more or less my life has been sheltered, so it's like I don't know a whole lot about things. I really would appreciate some answers. I figure I really deserve a good birthday after my life. Thanks and *HUGS*

Hi Truth. Happy early birthday! I've been to Charlotte once and loved it. My husband and I wanted to move there until we visited Phoenix and fell in love with the dry heat. We've driven by the place where they have the Nascar Race (I don't remember what it's called). It does seem to be somewhat difficult to get to. Do they have a bus from where you are, or a shuttle to the race from a place you can get to? That could eliminate a lot of the walking and the race sounds like something you are really interested in. I don't think it would really be a big deal to go on your own compared to other things people might do on their own. When you see the race on TV, a lot of the people in the stands are wearing headphones and listing to a radio broadcast of the race, so I think there are a lot of people who probably go on their own and even some who sit with friends but tune out to listen to the race on headphones. I know that's easier said than done; I've never really gone anywhere on my own before, only once to the movies and I brought a pad of paper and acted like I was reviewing the movie so I didn't feel so awkward about being there alone.

hey jendreamer, thank you for wishing me Happy Birthday.I don't know if they have a bus or anything to get me there? I totally agree with you. I haven't decided yet what I will be doing. Something has came up so I have to wait until we find out on that. But I really do appreciate your input, you always know the right things to say. I have to go everywhere by myself and it's not as much fun as someone going with you. But this is what keeps me from going to see new things. Oh well, that is life, I do the best I can. Thanks again, and have a nice day *HUGS*

my little pipi longstocking, I have been wanting to go karaoke for awhile now, but before it's time to leave, I just say no and I stay at home. There's been a couple of things on my mind, so I may not do anything. Go under depression or bipolar, if you haven't already, I think it says "this is horror" and read that. Then you will understand. I love you and hope to talk to you soon, *HUGS* and I think of you a lot.
