I have used the mood tracker for almost a full year and I can now see that I have anxiety more than 50% of the time. I was diagnosed with BP2 but am finding that anxiety is my real issue, that and irritability. I just wanted to know how others are dealing with this and how often they feel anxiety and irritability?

talliejo, have you had a chance to speak to your doctor/pdoc about this? I think you have discovered something important that would be worth discussing. Maybe there is a way to manage things better so that you are more at ease.
Sometimes I am surprised when I am marking higher ratings for anxiety and irritability. I guess I just think it's 'only depression' but there seem to be other factors.
Dale200, I like moodtracker b/c I can see how things are trending. It's very worthwhile to take a moment in the day and just reflect on how things are going.

I like you have been diagnosed bp2 but again like you I have anxiety really bad a great percentage of the time, in fact I don't believe that I ever go a long period of time without it so i understand what your talking about. I am also irritable but I think that is because of the anxiety it just messes with you so bad your nerves can only take so much. My PDOC prescribed Temezapam and it helps a lot I am able to rest just cannot take it if I leave home due to it makes me sleepy...

MOODTRACKER works great especially if you want your PDOC to really track your feelings plus it gives you an idea of what is going on ....

I was getting extreme anxiety everyday. Depression wasn't so much of an issue, but to put in journal entries helped me to review each days past and see how it was affecting my daily life. I noticed how much work I put into trying to cope with the challenging confrontations of dealing with such demoralizing suffering.

I was getting anxiety daily and all day during the first 2 weeks on celexa (on week 8) lorazepam has saved me really. I take a mg at work in afternoon and it calms me quick . Then the next 2 in evening and my sleep med at bedtime I sleep like a baby now zero waking up to anxiety . I was severely depressed and had severe panic attacks regularly before going on my meds I can say they work for me

Current medications as of 05-20-2015
09-05-2011 - Present: Suboxone, 2mg. Once a day
03-23-2015 - Present: Celexa, 40mg. One time per day
03-23-2015 - Present: Lorazepam , 3mg. 1mg 3 times per day
03-23-2015 - Present: Zopiclone, 7.5mg. Once a night

I used to take Lorazepam and it was 100% effective, but I can't take it anymore, because I have developed an immunity to it. Luckily I am able to sleep off the panic in 1-2 hours. After waking up, I have to sleep several hours later, but I manage to get through the rest of the day.

Yes... anxiety is a bitch. I am getting it now with adding Latuda to my routine. Seroquel helped a lot with anxiety, but I CAN NO LONGER HANDLE THE WEIGHT GAIN. I have gained @ 20 lbs. since I've been on it since May 2013.
My thoughts on Ativan - I love it. I take 1 during the day for anxiety and 2mg - 3mg at night for sleep. I know it's additive, but it's the only thing that quiets my mind for sleep. Also taking Seroquel XR (200 mg) bedtime dose. I am slowly trying to phase out the "fat drug" Seroquel in my routine. This could take a while. I am starting with downsizing my afternoon dose. The nighttime dose will have to wait.
