Does anyone relate to this? Cause everyday i have the memories of the traumatic events that have happened in my life over and over again and i hate it and feel soo stupid and ridiculous because of it. I hate the memories and hate constantly being reminded of them. If anyone relates and has any advice for me thanks.

I have found therapy with someone that specializes in trauma to be hugely helpful. It can help you move on. Drugs are not effective on their own for this problem.

I once attended a retreat at my church. There, people told stories about challenges in their life. Anything from incest to dying babies. It really made me realize that everyone has something in their past that is pretty heavy and possibly traumatic. That said, some of us get PTSD for reasons unknown. Maybe we just are more sensitive, I don't know. It is not something to be ashamed of. Therapy is key.

Hi there!

I have PTSD, on top of Bipolar type 2 and also some anxiety and paranoia issues. I recently got diagnosed with PTSD. I barely got out of an abusive marriage(the guy was such a cheater and a jerk) a couple years ago. Of course, the diagnosis wasn't much of a surprise, as I had suspected it, once the symptoms came up and quickly got worse for me.

I totally understand where ur coming from, and I encourage u to get into therapy, and maybe some meds(I was told by my therapist that antidepressants are used to treat PTSD, and there are meds out there that can help with the nightmares if u have them).

U aren't alone in this, and if u want u can always ask me more about what went on with the abuse...There are plenty of posts from me on here that would also help u understand what I went through with my ex husband(just go under more search options on the forum, and then when it shows an area to type in, type my username and then click on the forum categories options, and click on username and then press enter or click okay). If u would like my e-mail, I would gladly give it to u, and we can trade e-mails if ur comfortable with that.
