Hi! I was starting to be active here in the Fall of 2019 but my anxiety got in the way and I dropped out. Now I'm back and looking for commenters to talk with about anxiety, bipolar disorder, and avoidant personality disorder, as I get ready to move to another state in the U.S. Spott, are you still around?

To bring you up-to-date on what I am doing to help myself with my anxiety, About a week ago, I started using Headspace, a meditation app that gives the user guided meditation sessions. I find it difficult to meditate on my own and these guided meditations are a big help. I'm not so good about doing this every day yet, but I hope I can make a time every day for this. Today (Saturday, 2/22/20), I did 15 minutes of meditation, and my anxiety was noticeably diminished. To me, this is huge!

My next step is to resume walking regularly. I haven't done this in about 1-1/2 years. I felt better when I did that. I like getting out into nature, even the nature I can see here in the city I live in. I like the trees and the birds. I'm spelling all of this out so the positive aspects are fresher in my mind when my mind will start rejecting the idea of going for a walk tomorrow. I want a fresh counter-argument.

I see a T-doc but my next appointment with him is on March 12. HIs practice is busy and he gets booked up fast. I failed to keep on top of things with him. This time without him is turning out to be good, though. I'm having to be self-reliant and remember to do things that have been suggested to me in innumerable sessions.

I'll check back in later this week and let you know how I'm doing.

Have you tried online counseling? Also, anxiety support websites have tons of articles to read that could help.

It is great that you found a guided meditation. Wonderful! What a boon. Keep up the movement - or walking. Every bit makes a difference. You can do it!!
