After 21 years I have had this diagnosis today. Phys has recommended a mood stabilizer. She is starting me on it in 4 weeks time. I am tapering off ssri in meantime. Can anyone recommend a mood stabilizer that WONT PUT ON WEIGHT ?

all mood stabilizers have side effects and everyone reacts differently to medications it is best to talk to your doctor about it let them know you don't want to put on weight
