I have been reading up treating "bipolar" like symptoms and have come across a few bits of information saying that an anti-convulsant is better to treat the symptoms than an antipsychotic. Has anybody been on an antipsychotic and then switched to an anti convulsant? Could you share your experience? Discuss pros and cons between the two types of medication, as well a effectiveness?

Current medications as of 09-03-2012
09-03-2012 - Present: Abilify, 15 mg. Once per day
09-03-2012 - Present: Prozac, 30 mg. Once per day
