Does anybody know of anything besides Thorazine, Ativan, or Clonipine as a strong sedative for anxiety?

I am taking Buspar and it works well. It is non addictive. I used to take ativan and klonopin but found they lost their effectiveness after a couple months. I did not want to increase dosages and tolerance levels so I stopped those. Valium and Xanax and other benzodiazepines often are used for this byt are so highly addictive. I recommend buspar! :) I did have trouble with dizziness for the first 3 weeks but it did subside over time. Good luck!

Current medications as of 03-28-2017
03-09-2017 - Present: Buspar, 15 mg. 2x daily
03-09-2017 - Present: Lamictal, 50 mg. 25 mg AM/25 mg PM
03-09-2017 - Present: Latuda, 80 mg. 1x PM

I am currently taking Klonopin and I find it knocks me out more than Xanax did at the given moment, but doesn't leave my mind too out of it like the latter. I cannot add much more information as I only started barely a week ago, but I have found it effective in treating various forms of the anxiety I'm going through in such a short time (much of it is physical symptoms unfortunately)

I have heard it has a very varied effect on people however.

Current medications as of 04-25-2017
04-12-2017 - Present: Abilify, 0.7. One time a day
04-18-2017 - Present: Clonazepam, 1mg. Two times a day every twelve hours

Yes, buspirone is fine. Benzodiazepines are strong and addictive and doctors often prescribe it to take only in emergency. I had strong side effects after taking Lorafen (benzo) so I don't really recommend this one.
