See previous post '57 and diagnosed', when I say recent I mean 4 years ago after being on and off depression medication for the past 40 years.

Aim - To help people with (or think they have BPD) along my journey as I help myself. I can only use my past experiences and my new learning on the subject.

Background - Female, married 30 years (yes you can have a lasting relationship)
One grown daughter with 3 children of her own, not living near me but in touch weekly
Worked since the age of 13, had soooooo many jobs (recently I had to add them up as part of therapy)up until 2 years ago.

Status - I classed myself as successful up until 2 years ago, when I left my last job in screaming disarray with an ambulance being called.

Currently - Having monthly therapy session with Gov't medical center.
Getting my mind in harmony and try not to have the swinging pendulum.

I chose this site to reveal as much as I know because of the mood tracking. I started tracking manually and could clearly see my fortnightly swings, it's so much easier on this web site.

Tip 1 - start religiously mood tracking using the comments to note events that correlate to the mood. Example. I had a day of severe stomach pains to the point of nearly hospital. I looked at my mood track the next day and guess what I noticed - I went for a job interview the previous day. At the time of pain I did not(or would not) recognize the time factor.
The point here is I stubbornly would not put the two events together. I would have been worse if someone else told me the pain was just stress. STRESS B..SH... I had to discover it for myself.

Please feel free to comment or ask questions at any time as I write over the coming days. Wand

not sure how this works I wanted to add to the first article - like an ongoing diary of help tips

Walk today - Even though I have to drag myself out to walk I did today in sunny weather and not too cold. Along the way I try keep focus on the world around and not my thoughts. I'll stop and stare at a tree and admire the branch etc. I tend to walk too fast so I have to keep reminding myself to slow down.

Maybe this is not the place to be adding items but I have yet to find a web site just for BPD chat.

It would be interesting to have a section just for individual journals if we wanted. I do keep a journal but it is just for me and is private (I actually use a blog but keep it private so nobody sees it).
