Hey Everyone,

My name is Steven and I was sent to this site by my pshyciatrist. He thought it would be a good way to keep track of my thoughts and feelings and to interact with people who feel some of the the same things I do. Its hard for me because I feel like I can only talk to my Dr about whats going on because everyone else around me just doesnt get it. So i'm hoping to meet some people on here who can relate to me and possibly help me see that Im not alone with these horrible feelings and are going through the some of the same things I am going through. If anyone is open for chat, has any positive ideas for me, or anything of that sort just let me know and maybe we can exchange emails or something. Thanks for reading. - Steven

Hey Steven.
Welcome to Moodtracker forums. I think that you'll find a whole lot of very understanding people here. I only started late Jan. and already I have gotten a lot of support and help from the others. They "Get It" better than any people I've ever talked to, including my PDOC (a general term we use for a health care professional). They have never been judgmental towards me or told me stuff like, all you need is to try harder and you'll feel better, like others that aren't affected by BP do. Some, not myself though, are former health care professionals and can really break down the complicated world BP people live in well.
I hope you will continue to post on the forums so we can all get to know you and you can get to know us.

Mooky,

I appreciate your reply. Its good to hear that you have been able to get some help from this website. I hope to do the same. I have had depression, bi-polar and more for many years but I just started seeking therapy in August of 2008 and I just feel like i'm not getting any better even with all the meds and the therapy and trying to "push" myself. When my Dr. suggested this site I signed up and it looks like a good idea. I hope to interact and learn as much as I can. Also offer any advice I can.

- Steven

My brother, dad and nephew are all named Steven... Anyway, I just joined recently because I wanted an objective way to track my moods because I seemed to feel confused when I visited my doctor, so, so far the site has been great to be able to do that - you just have to do it every day. I also journal, because there is a function that lets you do that. I hope you get alot out ofbeing here. Good luck with everything and I'm glad you sought help...

Welcome Steven!

I wish moodtracker had been available to me 13 years ago. It is probably the most important tool in my treatment plan. It will take a while to gather enough data to see the benifit of charting, but please stick with it! I actually had data in my personal tracking files that I was able to transfer when I joined. This is SOOOO much better than any charting method I had come up with on my own though. And isn't it AMAZING that it is FREE!

And the members of this forum are WONDERFUL! I've checked out a lot of online bipolar support groups and this is already the best! The second best is at www.RevolutionHealth.com and is called "the ambush of being bipolar".

Look forward to sharing the bipolar journey with you.
