I have had bi polar for most of my life. I have went through a lot of things in my life, and I am only 33. Lately I have been really depressed and suicidal. I have many episodes of rage and feeling as if I am going insane. I am also always angry and irratible. I have been out of work for some time and been having money problems, which I think is bringing on more of my depression. I am currently on Lamictal and Zoloft. I am not so sure if the Zoloft is doing much good. If anybody has some feedback, it would be greatley appreciated

Medications for March 2009
01-01-2005 - Present:Klonopin, 0.5. once per day
01-01-2006 - Present:Zoloft, 100 mg. once per day
01-01-2008 - Present:Lipitor, 20 mg. once per day
01-01-2008 - Present:Toprol, 100 mg. once per day
09-15-2008 - Present:Lamictal, 150 mg. onceperday

It sounds to me like something you need to bring up with your PDOC,. It could be that your body is just getting too used to your meds and they might need changing. How long have you been on them? It could also just be that your stress level is getting too high for your meds to handle. It may take some time as an in patient to get them straight if you're feeling suicidal. That way they can keep you safe while your meds get straightened out.
Do you have a plan layed out for emergencies? Someone to call if you are becoming dangerous?

Stress is when you wake up screaming and realize you haven't gone to sleep yet.

I don't know if my advice could help you here, but i will still share. Maybe you could find something to help you relax and to get your anger and emotions out. Here are a few things you could try. To relax you could read, perform breathing exercises, meditate, pray, watch a movie (comedy would probably be best), take a nap, workout, play a sport, etc. whatever makes you happy. If you cant even begin to try to relax when your angry you should use that energy in a positive way. Do something physical (exercise is really good for us bi poplars!) or that will get your anger out on something that cant feel pain! Your anger could be the result of built up emotion. You could try journaling, or talking to someone. There might be some places that offer free counseling. I know a lot of times its hard to imagine being happy when your depressed, so just surround yourself in things or people that are positive. I definitely would talk to my doc though.
good luck and i hope you feel better!!!
