So, finally I did it.... I got up feeling horrible and called into work. I'm probably in trouble but I just don't care. Yesterday I spent all day in bed sleeping. I was up long enough to eat and go right back to sleep.

Off today too. Got up to take care of a few things. Still don't care, but looking forward to another afternoon when I can nap.

I'm so struggling here, even called HR to find out specifics about FMLA to see if this call fall under that. I want to be strong, but just give up. It's not worth it to take it anymore. Looking forward to seeing the Dr's next week.

Tired of crying and stressing.

I am glad you took some time off just for yourself but be careful...
Spending the day napping is good once in a while but it can turn into a seclusion problem.
Try to actually do something that's relaxing instead of just sleeping.
That way you can destress instead of just rest. It takes an active mind to relax.
I am proud of you for taking the steps needed to try to take care of yourself.
Have you been in touch with your PDOC about your meds?
They might want to change them.

Have a nice day.

I have an appt with the therapist (my DBT specialist) this week as well as with the physc. I called about taking some time off for disability today. My DBT therapist has several groups as well as time during the week I can get back to 1 on 1 with her. I think I need some time to "step back". I'm either irritable or exhausted to the point of tears. Worried about upsetting others with my decision, but I know I can't really care about others at this point.

If I only take a few weeks off, I save my job, still get a bit of pay and can concentrate on getting back on track instead of trying to run into the wall and die off. I DONT need another trip to the hospital. I hate that place.

You have such good insight about this. I love hearing the things you say. Thanks

Good for you.
Sounds like you're stepping up and getting a handle on things.
You are right.... You can't care about others to the risk of your own mental and physical health.

Keep up the good work.

:D

I,m pretty new to this site. but i can tell you that if you have been at your employer for more than 1 year it falls under fmla i have it works great i dont have to use it much but it is a good safety net for your job. you only get 12 weeks a year. but it stops s them from disicplinary actions if it has gone that far it saved me and my job.
