I think i've recently cycled and cant discern whether it resulted from a decrease in paxil from 40 to 30mgss. I gradually withdrawled, seemed ok but know i feel like im back at square anxious, depressed , no confidence etc. Could A small dosage change in Paxil induce this?

Current medications as of 06-09-2009
06-09-2009 - Present: Abilify, 3 mg. once daily
06-09-2009 - Present: Paxil, 30 mgs. once daily
06-09-2009 - Present: trazedone, 150 mgs. 1 at night

Hi kones21,

I don't know if a decrease in Paxil from 40 to 30mgs would make any difference but I am sorry to see that you're suffering again from anxiety and depression.

We all deal with various unwanted side effects and sometimes we fiddle around with our medication doses ourselves to see if we can "improve things". In the early days, I messed around with doses and came un-stuck a couple of times. And twice, I thought I was "better" and didn't need to take my medication anymore. That's a cliff I don't want to step off again.

The only way you'll know for sure about the Paxil is to see your doctor, explain what you've done with your dose and why you did it. Your doctor may prescribe something similar to Paxil that agrees with you better.

I really hope you are feeling better soon.
