No matter what mood I am in, I am angry. Some days my personal space bubble is the size of a room and any time anyone speaks to me, I just want to scream. Anybody know how to deal with this?

Plus I have been staying up until like 3 in the morning and sleeping in really late. Just because I'm not tired at night, then just really tired in the morning. It's really screwing me up. I don't know if it's a teenager thing or a bipolar thing, but it's annoying.

Im like this most of the time with the sleep pattern, i dont think im designed for mornings, sometimes i pull all nighters and dayers to try and fix it like i have done today, not slept at all and wont sleep till after 10pm tonight at the earliest, that might be the only way to fix it.

Im not sure how to help with the angry cos all you can think of is how to vent it, could perhaps take up kickboxing, i did for a while and it relaxed me a fair bit.

Humm interesting question. I work with teenagers, and I can say that in general you guys tend to be a moody, sleepy bunch.

However, I can remember feeling really irritable and always getting into fights with my parents (which continued until I officially moved out at 22). I didn't get diagnosed bipolar until I was 24, but at 14 I was diagnosed as depressed.

I do also know that teenagers have different circadian rhythms than adults. Like you guys have to sleep longer and typically fall asleep later than adults do. I'd definately try to get in some activity like the other person said. I know on days I dance I'm a lot less irritable than on days I do.

im 21 almost 22 and my sleep patterns are still horeendous and I had the same problem, it is impossible for me to live at home with my parents and I had to move out at 16 cos things got so bad. I got diagnosed with depression at about 17 and bipolar at the beginning of this year.
When I was finished a kickboxing session i felt totally at peace with myself for just a few hours and my irritability, stress and agression levels were much lower for the days following on.

I'm 19 years old and I've been having the exact same problem lately. My irritability is through the roof. Plus my mom doesn't help cuz she's always on my case. I'm home from college for the summer and I wish desperately that I hate stayed up there. I'm miserable at home! And as far as sleep is concerned, that's my biggest issue right now. I was taking ambien for a while and then my doctor took me off it because it was for some reason starting to make me manic.

Current medications as of 06-27-2009
05-04-2009 - Present: Lamictal , 300mg. 150mg Twice a day
06-17-2009 - Present: Abilify, 10mg. Once a day

Thanks everyone. I have been exercising regularly, but it isn't really affecting my sleep patterns. The weird thing is that I'm not even tired after sleeping only a few hours a night. Well, I guess that's better than being extremely tired all the time from depression.
The irritability is so unexpected and hits me really on random days, just about half the time. I really enjoy spending time alone, but some people just don't understand it.
