If you are on an anti-depressant, It's called anti-depressant withdrawal and can lead to hypomania. Happened to me when I stopped Remeron cold turkey. Had a lovely hypomanic episode for a week followed by a severe depressive episode which required ECT to elleviate. I wouldnt suggest to stop your meds, even if it brings with it a nice feeling. The real consequences are sometimes unexpected and painful.
