keeping down vitamins

My doctor has prescribed me to be on one-a-day women's vitamins as well as an extra vitamin d. I have trouble keeping them down after I take them. About an hour and half afterwards, I have horrible stomach pain. I take them with food (and try as hard as I can to eat protein to help with the increase iron).

Does anyone have any ideas?

04-25-2010 - Present:Women's 1 a Day, 1 mg. Once daily
04-26-2010 - Present:Vitamin D, 1000U. once daily

Well that doesn't sound good!

is the multi vitamin large?
Lots of them are large, and they smell gross.

vitamin D is good.
high doses of lots of B is very good!
Everyone needs vitamins but the D and Bs are most helpful for mood.
Then C and calcium and Iron are very important for immune and being a women ;)

Maybe switching to a really good b-complex since they are generally smaller and not as gross. There are B-complexes that have iron and vitamin C as well.
usually you can find supplements of D and calcium combined.

I'm not a B vitamin expert but I know it helps for a lot of things.
When I was a kid, I was prescribed B-complex to help my depression.

in a pinch, something like EmergenC is good. it has a lot of good stuff in it and comes in many flavors. lol

Personally I really notice a change in my mood and energy levels when i am up on my b complex and D.

I can't take multi vitamins either so I take A LOT of what I know is good for me. I'm not sure what is in them, but I have tried different ones and different times with bad results.

I decided to try chewable and so far it seems to be working. :) Multivitamins are weird in that way.
