Has anyone experimented with reducing or eliminating carbs, particularly gluten (wheat, rye, barley)? There are a couple books out written by doctors (Wheat Belly and Grain Brain) that are sounding the alarm about how these grains affect our brains. I believe that our brains are somewhat unique and react differently to things like pharmaceuticals and diet, but a growing body of evidence suggest that these foods have a direct impact on our moods. I cut wheat out of my diet and found my mind was much clearer. I suspect others may find this too. Has anyone had any experience with a reduced or total abstinence of grains or carbs in their diet?
