I am trying the "body for life" program along with weight watchers. I started out at 235. I'm 223 now and started weight watchers again, this time with some success =). My goal weight is 150 where I used to be. any-other tips?

Current medications as of 07-04-2011
06-30-2011 - Present: Trasadone, 100 mg. One a night

I don't know anything about the "body for life" thing, but my first question is, what kind of exercise are you doing? If you're not exercising, it doesn't matter what diet you use, you won't lose much weight.

I think the best thing you can do for exercise is start walking. Walk for maybe 10-20 minutes at first and work your way up to 20-30 minutes and eventually to 45 minutes to an hour.

WebMD has a lot of great weight loss tips as well as exercise suggestions. You might also try using their food & exercise planner so you can keep track of how many calories you are both eating and burning.

Good luck!

Polarisld is right. If you are not exercising, you need to. You don't want to end up being skinny-fat.

I think Weight Watchers is a fine program- just watch out for the fruit!! I was on it, but the allure of fruit was too much for me. It is my weakness. But it is a great program for most and it sounds like you are off to a great start. Good for you! They do emphasize exercise, so I have no doubt you will be joining in on the fun.

Well, at least we offered some advice. People usually don't reply to my posts and I know that when you're depressed already, it kinda hurts. I replied because I didn't want you to feel like no one was listening or that no one cares. I do happen to know a good bit about weight loss, so I DO know what I'm talking about in that respect.

If you want professional advice, then talk to a doctor. This is why I usually don't try to help people; they are always ungrateful. If you have a program, why are you asking us anyway? BTW, this is a depression forum, not a weight loss one. I think the WebMD site would be more appropriate for your needs anyway.
