I'm Bipolar Type 2 and have been training 3 times a week with a local Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club. I find it has really helped my anxiety and depression quite a bit. There have only been 3 nights I did not go because I was depressed (one of which I was suicidal, the other two were related to stress with my college courses).

For anyone who doesn't know Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a lot of on the ground grappling (if you've seen the UFC most of the ground fighting is Jiu-Jitsu).

Have any of you tried martial arts? and do you find they help with your particular issues?
