Pristiq and Blood Pressure

I will be starting on Pristiq, and I understand it can cause elevation of blood pressure. Anyone on Pristiq (or anyone that has been on this med) that also has hypertension? If so, has it caused BP problems for you?
Current medications as of 05-16-2013

I was on pristiq for a little while and I have slight hypertension. While I was taking it I didn't not notice an increase in my BP, but I also only took it for a few months.
My pdoc used this med for me as a last resort because of the BP issue. It ended up not working for me so we stopped using it and started over.
