3:00am wake up

I am haunted by constant 3:00am wake ups - I can take Diazepam 5mg with 50mg Seroquel XR. I will be zonked to the eye balls at 10:00pm. Fall a sleep and then wake at 3:00am exactly give or take a few minutes. My mind goes into over drive with a million thoughts. I then toss and turn until morning. If I take another does of seroqeul I find I am alert in the morning and by the end of breakfast I can't keep my eyes open and I find myself sleeping most of the day.
I have tried staying awake all day and not taking medication and still find myself a wake at 3:00am. I have even placed diazepam in two gel tablets which gives it 3 hours before the gel capsules dissolve. Went to bed at 10:00am with normal meds and feel asleep. Never woke at 3:00am but felt the effects of the diazepam kicking in while I was in deep sleep. A very unnerving feeling and I didn't do it again but did get a full 8 hours sleep. Has any one else experienced this Phenomenon.

Yes, not sure what it is about 3am. I read once that your body stops producing a certain hormone after a certain number of waking hours and that for most people coincides with 3 am. Not sure if I buy that, but it is the best explanation I have heard thus far. Lately I have been waking up every hour not just 3pm. I wish I could just sleep 7 or 8 hours without interruption. So far my mood has not been too affected.
