finding out that I'm not the only one in the world like 'me'. Finally having a clue as to what makes me 'tick' and not being as afraid of whatever....I feel better today because I "know" and knowing is a good thing.

new here, but not new to problems with this. Trying to know what to do now that I knew what is 'wrong'

That's great Bruisin. That's how I felt too. I wasn't really looking for people to chat with, just a place to keep track of things. But then I checked out the forums and found it was like you said, nice to know there are others out there.

01-15-2011 - Present:Lexapro, 20 mg. Taken at night.
02-21-2011 - Present:Prilosec (generic of), 20 mg. 1 per day
02-21-2011 - Present:Lamictal (Lomotrigine), 200 mg. 1 per day
02-21-2011 - Present:Flexeril (cyclobenaprine), 10 mg. 3 x's per day as needed
02-21-2011 - Present:Clonazepam, 1 mg. 1 at bedtime
02-21-2011 - Present:Seroquel XR, 300 mg. 1 per day (I take it at bedtime.)
02-21-2011 - Present:Caltrate Calcium & Vitamin D Chewables, 600 mg. 1 per day
02-21-2011 - Present:Children's Multivitamin (chewable), 1 mg. 2 per day
04-02-2011 - Present:Synthroid, 100 mcg. 1 in the morning

No, we are certainly not alone. Our respective "diseases" will never go away, but with the help of medication and therapy we CAN learn coping skills to help us live a life worth living.

Just remember, every day is a new start.

I really appreciate your posts. It is nice to know I'm not alone in this struggle with newly diagnosed BP. I am reading a very good book called New Hope for People with Bipolar Disorder if anyone's looking for literature.

11-10-2008 - Present: Morphine Sulfate , 15 mg. Three times daily
06-15-2010 - Present: Seroquel, 12.5 to 50. At bedtime, as needed

07-02-2011 - Present: B vitamins, 1 mg. Every day
