I have been suffering with raised ANX for the past 2 months now - prior to this new outbreak I suffered from sleep issue's which still pose a problem...

my main symptoms which drive me insane and i am curious if ANX is the cause of the following:

slow processed thoughts
slurred speech
confusion
fogginess during the day - improvements at night
lower back pains
pains between shoulder blades
difficulty focusing with eyes
difficult formulating sentences

prior to this i was normally a leading force with conversation, quick thinking and witty! I lack this on most days now which kills me!

a small background - I was granted a mood stabilizer which affected the symptoms above even more...I was up to 200MG of SAROQUEL (from 50 to 200MG in a 2 week period) and was talking SOMNAPURE (natural sleep aid) / XAN 0.25 / SAROQUEL XR 25MG all for rest - though rest improved the side effects ruined me and made work almost impossible.

I have been off of the SAROQUEL slow release for almost 1 week now and and removed the SAQOQUEL XR 25mg / XAN 0.25 and SOMNAPURE thinking mixing these all for night was almost giving me these hang-over feelings described above.

I am having a hard time coping with having these feelings every day which almost makes me think - are these ANX symptoms or side effects of me still coming off the slow-release SAROQUEL though my time taking it was limited...

I am normally hyper and strive off of that hypo behavior to lead at work - lead with friends and provide the entertainment and humor I had in me 4 months ago...

Any help/info/recommendations would be HIGHLY valued.

PS: an EX lover is attempting to come back into my life and I want to be just as sharp as I was when we were last communicating a few months ago.

Thanks all!

I had a combination of severe depression and severe anxiety that wore me down and led to similar symptoms to the ones you listed. It was weird to experience the problems with speech and thinking; it reminded me of what you hear about people who've suffered a stroke. For that reason, you might want to discuss them with your primary care provider, just in case. Also, like you said, it might just be because of the meds you've taken/stopped taking [which is something else I hope you're discussing with your doc].

Anyway, I've since learned to monitor my thoughts and counter the negative self-talk and what ifs that just made things worse and caused my symptoms to spiral to the point of severity. My mind is still not as quick as it used to be, and I sometimes say the wrong words when trying to express myself, but both my anxiety and depression symptoms have greatly improved, which I credit to having focused on my cognitive/thinking processes to reduce my negative/worried thinking.
