Reminders Help

There are two types of Reminders: Reminders and Help, and you can create as many as you want.  You can schedule them to come at a specific time on a daily basis or at a specific time on a specific date.  Each of the different alert types are described below:

Reminder - Take Medications and Reminder - Record Daily Mood:
With these reminders it makes sense to set the "Alert When?" value to "Daily".  If you have already entered your mood record for the day, the alert message will not be sent.  On the other hand, if you haven't entered your daily mood record before the scheduled time, then a reminder alert message will be sent.  A message will be resent based on the value in the "Times to Resend Message" field.  For example if you have a Reminder - Record Daily Mood alert scheduled for 8:00 p.m. daily and the current time is 8:00 p.m., you will receive the alert only if you haven't already entered your daily mood record.  If the current time is 9:00 p.m. and you still haven't entered your daily mood record you will receive another alert.  If the "Times to Resend Message" field is set to 2 and the current time is 10:00 p.m., you will receive your last reminder alert for the day, but only if you still haven't entered your daily mood record.

Reminder - Record Daily Mood (3+ days overdue):
With this reminder, set the "Alert When?" value to "Daily".  This reminder will be sent each day if more than three days have past since your last daily mood record was entered.

Reminder - Doctor Appointment:
With this reminder it makes sense to set the "Alert When?" value to a specific date and time.

Help Alerts:
When setting up help alerts, set the "Alert When?" value to "Daily".  When the scheduled time is reached, MoodTracker will check your last mood record to see if an alert needs to be sent.  For example if you have set up a Help - Severely Depressed alert and your last mood record indicates a Severely Depressed mood, then a message will be sent.  If on the next day you haven't entered a mood record, MoodTracker will locate your last mood record indicating Severely Depressed and send the message again.  If you are tracking two moods per day, the first mood field on the form is checked for whether or not to send help alerts.
